Game Details

Orbrix is an incremental brick breaker game. Each layer of bricks is stronger than the last, and you must buy lots of upgrades to succeed. After you defeat the first boss, you can unlock more upgrades via a skill menu. Can you reach the final layer and escape the Orbrix prison?

NOTE: If you experience audio or performance issues, try downloading the Windows version

This is a great demo! Very addicting. Lasers are way strong even at 1/4 damage given that they can damage bosses from wrong directions. I was able to go from start of endless mode to ~15k bricks in a single run on a laser build with no indication that it was going to fail anytime soon

I beat this demo hella fun I would go on stream but I can’t use steam ;’( you should release it also on itch.io!! Also have a good day and GL!

This is a very interesting game.

Here are my thoughts after trying to enhance all the color attributes:

- Of the effects of each color, the green poison is abnormally powerful in terms of annihilation (the other colors' effects, which only deal half or a quarter of the base bullet damage, are very weak).

- The satellite slowdown is too powerful, making the blue ice seem insignificant (a 10% reduction per enhancement might be sufficient).

- Since the cost increases after the first color, it's easier and stronger to simply enhance a single color, and there's almost no benefit or enjoyment in combining multiple colors.

I hope these points will be improved in the final version that will be sold on Steam.

This is really helpful feedback. Thank you!

Thank you for implementing Endless Mode.

After playing the additional stages, it seems I need to revise my previous assessment.

- Green Poison has a lower upgrade limit compared to other colors, deals damage slowly, and its effects don't stack, so the benefit of increased bullets is minimal. When comparing fully upgraded colors, it's not particularly powerful.

- Blue Ice is incredibly powerful, and its usefulness isn't diminished by the presence of satellites. Its freeze effect lasts so long that bosses can't even reach the satellites. Furthermore, by combining it with other colors, you can advance to much later stages even with fewer bullets and less damage.

- Since skill points can be obtained in large quantities and easily, the previous version's specification that the initial cost of unlearned colors increased each time a new color was learned may not have been a major problem.

And I must report another disappointing discovery.

Despite its simple appearance, this game seems to consume a considerable amount of resources.

My PC has Windows 11, an i7-9700K processor, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 2070 graphics card, which I thought was more than enough to play this game.

However, in the browser version, even with low graphics settings, performance starts to drop after about 50 bullets, and the game freezes if I continue playing.

(After trying various things, I found that with a combination of  green and blue, there are no effects, so performance doesn't drop until about 150 bullets.)

I installed and tried the Steam demo, but immediately after starting the game, even before firing a single shot, the performance of my entire PC slowed down.

(Furthermore, this performance degradation did not recover even after quitting the game; the only solution was to restart my PC.)

While some colors truly shine when we can fire a large number of bullets, it's incredibly disappointing that my environment doesn't allow me to fully appreciate them.

I expect that the retail version will resolve performance issues.

I would like to add that, while experimenting with various things, I came to realize that I would like a feature that allows me to save multiple states midway through and resume from one of them.

If it's not too much of a burden, I would be very grateful if this could be implemented in the final product.

‪I played for an hour before realized the time... The demo is already so addictive!‬!!

とても良いのですが、短いです。なぜ再開するのに料金を支払わなければならないのですか?無料であるべきではないでしょうか?
(very good but short and why do we have to pay to restart?
 it should be free no?)

As someone who makes almost nothing but games about orbs... this is EPIC

Good game. Can't say anything about the audio since I played it muted (bc I was on a train), but gameplay and visuals are well executed.

2 words: addicting + fun.

Some gameplay, some critique ;)

Amazing game, wishlisted!

In the multi boss fights, if you kill one but not all bosses you can get another sp from it's respawn.

DOPAMINA

Bought the auto-fire and when I died and restarted.
It didn't auto-fire and I couldn't buy it again

Fascinating! An hour playing this game made my day. Thank you for your work!

I feel like the skill points should be able to be respecced or something. the orbiter thing was very underwhelming, maybe it gets good with the upgrades to it but the first level might as well not do anything.

UI runs great on Smartphones (S25 Ultra) Performance starts to get down in the though! Fun little game. Hoping for an mobile release 😊

Fun little game, I liked the customization you get out of the skill tree, but I wish I had a bit more sway over the build, as skill points are rather uncommon and the monetary upgrades are much more linear.
